2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT

\"\"

Behold! The first-ever Mustang crossover, and the first-ever Mustang EV. The Mustang Mach-E will hit showrooms in late 2020 for the 2021 model year. With its arrival, the Mustang name will be carried through the mass electrification to come in the New \’20s

This particular variant, the GT, can move all four of its wheels from zero to 60 in around 3.5 seconds, and can go 250 miles on a single charge. The GT will arrive in spring of 2021, though the shade of blue it wears here is not available.

I did ask if Shelby will get to work its magic on the Mach-E in the future. While the Ford representative did say the company doesn\’t comment on future product plans, they did think a Shelby Mach-E would be a cool idea to consider.

Toyota Mirai (1st- & 2nd-Gen)

\"\"

Here\’s a car you\’ll only see in Los Angeles or New York for some time to come, the Toyota Mirai. Above is the second-gen model, which was unveiled back in October of 2019.

The second-gen Mirai is Toyota\’s first rear-drive sedan (that wasn\’t a Lexus) for the U.S. market since the 1992 model year, when the Cressida made its last appearance on the showroom floor. Instead of the latter\’s inline-six, though, this Mirai runs off of hydrogen via fuel cells. The sedan\’s range is expected to be over 400 miles, with refueling taking just five minutes.

The new Mirai (whose name translates into \”future\” in Japanese) didn\’t come alone, either. The first-gen, front-drive Mirai was hiding behind its skateboard chassis, parked near a hydrogen fuel pump. Unlike the new car, the OG was available for those who wanted to sit in it; the shifter knob was preemptively removed, just in case.
