Throwback: Louisville Concours d\’Elegance 2010 & 2011

All for the kids

Up through 2012, the Louisville Concours d\’Elegance served as a fundraiser for what was then called Brooklawn Child & Family Services (now Bellewood & Brooklawn). Proceeds from ticket sales, as well as the charity auction the night before inside Millionaires Row at Churchill Downs, helped the non-profit care and educate the many children residing on campus.

Brooklawn\’s mission then and now was to help those who\’ve experienced emotional trauma and behavioral problems related to abuse, neglect, drugs, and/or mental health disorders. The non-profit would take in children between 6 and 18 years of age, helping them work through their issues, while also guiding them through their education. The ultimate goal: the healing of the heart, mind, and soul.

For the 2013 edition — the organizers\’ last — the Louisville Concours directed its fundraising efforts towards another local charity, Kosair Children\’s Hospital (now known as Norton Children\’s Hospital).
